OPEN — Quantum Coherence in Biological Energy Transfer

Deadline: 31 October 2026 | Guest Editors: Prof. A. Fleming (University of Cambridge) & Prof. H. Kim (KAIST)

This Special Issue focuses on quantum coherent dynamics in biological and biomimetic energy-transducing systems. We welcome submissions addressing photosynthetic light harvesting, respiratory complexes, and novel synthetic systems inspired by biological quantum energy transfer. Both experimental and theoretical contributions are welcome.

OPEN — Quantum Effects in DNA and Genome Stability

Deadline: 28 February 2027 | Guest Editors: Dr. M. Brovarets’ (National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) & Prof. J. Rak (University of Gdansk)

This collection focuses on quantum mechanical contributions to DNA base tautomerism, proton-transfer mediated mutagenesis, and electron-induced strand breaks. We particularly welcome computational studies with experimental validation.
