For authors — Pre-submission enquiry

Authors uncertain whether their manuscript falls within scope may send a pre-submission enquiry to the editorial office before preparing a full submission. This service is free and results in a response within 5 to 7 working days.

When to Send an Enquiry

A pre-submission enquiry is appropriate when you are unsure whether your work is within scope, your manuscript crosses multiple disciplines, or you are proposing an invited Review or Perspective.

Pre-submission enquiries are not required for straightforward submissions where scope overlap is clear.

What to Include

Working title

A provisional title describing the main topic or finding.

Abstract (250 words max)

Background, objective, methods, key findings, and significance.

Author list and affiliations

All authors’ names and institutions. Identify the corresponding author.

Article type

State whether the work is intended as a Research Article, Review, Technical Note, or Correspondence.
